No provision in this Policy limits rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
01Scope
This Policy applies to purchases from the Church, including digital content, online programs, memberships, subscriptions, private sessions, tickets, retreats and physical products where offered.
02Australian Consumer Law
You may be entitled to a repair, replacement, re-supply, price reduction, cancellation or refund where goods or services fail to meet a consumer guarantee. These rights apply regardless of any voluntary change-of-mind policy.
03Change-of-mind refunds
Unless a sales page states a more generous policy, the Church does not provide a change-of-mind refund after digital content has been accessed, downloaded or substantially delivered, or after a live service or event has begun. This does not affect mandatory legal rights.
04Digital courses and recorded content
- Before substantial access: a written cancellation request may be considered within [7] days of purchase where the content has not been materially accessed or downloaded.
- After substantial access or download: no change-of-mind refund is ordinarily available.
- Faulty, materially misdescribed or inaccessible content: contact us promptly so we can investigate and provide the remedy required by law.
- Failure caused solely by the purchaser’s device, internet connection or incompatible software is not ordinarily a defect in the supplied content.
05Live online programs and private sessions
- Cancellation more than [7] days before commencement: refund less any clearly disclosed and reasonable non-recoverable costs, or transfer/credit where offered.
- Cancellation within [7] days: transfer or credit may be offered at our discretion; a change-of-mind refund is not guaranteed.
- Missed session or late arrival: no change-of-mind refund, unless required by law.
- If the Church cancels and does not provide a reasonable alternative: refund of the affected undelivered portion.
06Memberships and subscriptions
You may cancel future renewals using the stated account or contact method. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid billing period unless law or the offer requires otherwise. Past charges are not refunded merely because the membership was unused.
If a material paid feature is removed or the service is not supplied with due care and skill, remedies will be provided as required by law.
07Payment plans
Cancelling participation does not automatically cancel an agreed payment plan for a fixed-price program. Remaining instalments remain payable unless the Church agrees otherwise or the purchaser has a legal right to cancel.
08In-person events and retreats
- The event page may contain event-specific cancellation deadlines which form part of this Policy.
- Travel, accommodation, visa, insurance and other third-party costs are the participant’s responsibility.
- Participants should obtain appropriate travel and cancellation insurance.
- If an event is postponed or moved, we may offer attendance on the new date, a credit or another remedy appropriate under the contract and applicable law.
- If the Church cancels without supplying a reasonable substitute, the event fee for the cancelled component will be refunded.
09Removal for misconduct or safety
A participant removed for serious misconduct, unlawful conduct or an immediate safety risk is not automatically entitled to a change-of-mind refund. Any entitlement will depend on the circumstances and applicable law.
10Donations
Genuine donations are generally final. We may correct duplicate payments, processing errors or unauthorised transactions after verification. A payment for a specified benefit is treated as a fee rather than a donation.
11Physical products
Where physical goods are supplied, consumer guarantees apply. Change-of-mind returns, if offered, must comply with the conditions stated at purchase. Faulty goods will be remedied as required by law.
12How to request a remedy
13Email [INSERT OFFICIAL CHURCH EMAIL].
14Provide your name, order number, purchase date, product or event, and a clear description of the issue.
15Include relevant screenshots or supporting information.
16Allow a reasonable time for investigation. We may request further information but will not impose unreasonable barriers to a valid consumer claim.
17Refund method and timing
Approved refunds are ordinarily returned to the original payment method. Processing time depends on the payment provider. We do not charge a fee for exercising a statutory consumer right.
